Nightster Brake Light Wiring... HELP! :-)
Installed an extra LED brake light on my 1200N (pics to come) Anyhoo, wired it up to the right side brake light wire under the seat. It works great. . . except for one *tiny* problem... The Nightster brake lights and turn signals use the same light filament/hot wire. In other words... I put on the brakes, the LED lights up fine. But when my right turn signal is on, the LED flashes too since it's wired to the right side!
Is there a brake only hot wire somewhere? Obviously I'm picking it up after the flasher. . . Is there a place to tap into befoer the flasher it so the flasher doesn't affect it? Thanks!

You could always run it off of the front brake.

Just wire it to the pressure switch for the rear brake....red/yellow stripe is hot from the switch, orange and white ties into the lighting/acc circuit, and blue goes to the main power for rear brake light from the switch pack on your bars.
If you're using a 3 wire light for the new one, you'll need to run black to ground, red to the switch (to r/y), and yellow to the acc circuit (continuous o/w).
2 wire is just run red to switch, yellow to acc circuit, and the housing is the ground.
Your turn signal relay is a big rectangle that has a 12(?) pin deutsch connector going into it....it's got a small diagram and some writing molded onto the top. You'll completely bypass that when installing a brake light, it shouldn't even touch your turn signal wiring.
