RE: Gas Gauge
Gas guages for Sporties just don't seem to exist. Your not the first to look for one.

Trip odometer works just fine, in fact in most cases it will be more accurate.

RE: Gas Gauge
The odometer tripmeter is my gas gauge. Figure fill-up around 120 miles for an 883 with a 3.3 gallon tank, before it goes to reserve.

RE: Gas Gauge
yeah me too, i just use trip meter..usually fill up abot 90 to 100 miles. as well i have a 3.3 gallon tank. my nightster has a gas light that comes on for a warning. did along ride down to the beaches here on long island. gas light came on after the first bridge. got worried about running out.

RE: Gas Gauge
Even on my Softail with a gas gauge I reset the odometer with every tank and keep track of it.
Of course, on my Sportster that is a requirement and works very well (plus reserve doesn't hurt as a warning either).
