thanks for starting this thread... I spent a good 20 minutes at work searching this subject yesterday and couldn't find s###! Just bought a 08 1200 Custom and my brother asked me if there was somewhere to lock my helmet. Couldn't answer him. I'm gonna go out and look for that MasterLock one.

RE: Leaving Helmet curiosity
Wow, I thought I was being original using the gun cable lock to secure my detachable tourpack when I don't want it to possibly take a hike. Never had a helmet take a hike, but one of my friends had someone lift his leather jacket once at a party we were at. He sometimes carries one of those bicycle cable locks now, runs it through the sleeve and then around the frame of the bike. While he's at it he'll sometimes run it through the helmet straps by the ear sections of the web strapping.

Loved your tale Amzie, it really is great when you see something like that.
I've recently had Kuryakyn ISO grips fitted with helmet lock end caps so I can leave the helmet(s) with the bike. Theyre such a pain to carry around for any length of time. However, it would be a bigger pain if they were stolen as they are mandatory everywhere over here.
