RRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Almost bit the big one today. On a four lane street in the right lane. One car beside and at the intersection ahead, a woman in a saturn suv waiting to turn in. No red light or stop sign for me. This lady looks right at me. I'm thinking, "Cool, she sees me and is waiting". Low and behold this IGNORANT BLIND-*** woman pulls out right in front of me. I swerve a little to the left, still in my lane, and she realizes what she has done. She pulled over as far as she could and let me by. After a few choice words, number 1 salutes and some quick sound offs with my pipes I feel better but DAMN! First time this has happened to me since I got my Harley in November. It made me realize some people really do not see us on motorcycles. Ride safe everyone, I think it's going to be a wild riding season.

Yesterday myself and a guy on a bike infront of me almost got wasted in a round-a-bout thing....we were halfway through the thing and this lady decided because we were smaller she had the right of way...the guy infront of me stopped with his wheel turned and almost dumped the bike and the lady slammed on the brakes, let him go and almost took me out as I went through right behind him...On a cell phone ofcourse...
Later in the day a lost canadian decided to switch lanes at the last minute and pushed me into the lined divider...Luckily his window was down so I was able to notify him of my existance and I'm sure his hearing aid is still buzzing haha.
I think its just so early in the season that people are still in "no bikes" mode...

Must have been the air yesterday. Same thing, riding behind car in right lane, said car slows to turn into parking garage. I slow down, they make the turn, person coming out of the parking garage into traffic looks right at me, locks eyes with me and proceeds to pull out in front of me. High performance stop, horn and salute. Pull up to him at stop light and give WTF sign, he rolls down window and says "didn't see you there". I replied i can understand why with your head jammed that far up your corn hole.

Add me to the list also!!! I was coming up on an intersection yesterday and the car in front of me got over into the turn lane to go left at the intersection. After she was over I started to accelerate(going about 40-45mph) Looking ahead I see a Saturn completely stopped at a green light. I hit the brakes and the bike tire locked up and I started fish tailing to the left and I thought here we go, I'm going to get whipped right out into the intersection when this thing gets traction. It came back and I kept going. Right then I heard why the car was stopped.... Ambulance! I didn't hear the damn thing because of my pipes and acceleration. I've only been riding for about a year now and have locked the back tire up a few times. I must be doing something wrong. I am just scarred to bite down on the front brakes too hard because I have dual disks in the front. Stay safe guys.

A little something I learned from several years in the bitch seat has worked for me so far.
When I see them setting there, waiting to turn, & even if I think they see me... I will give the scoot a a little push/pull (what you would do if you were trying to aviod something in the road) so that my light goes back and forth. Just that little bit of movement grabs their attention, and if not, I pull in the clutch and roar the pipes 3-4 times .. that does wake them up. Saved my butt 3 times already this year from the same type of stupid you guys have experienced.

Just admit to defeat, no matter what you do, some will not see you. Hell, why do you think there are more car/car accidents then car/motorcycle accidents?!? They don't even see other CARS!!
Understand it, take it, get used to it, become more defensive. But, getting pissed only does one thing, makes the rest of us look bad. Bikers as a whole are already on the ****-list and have been for years. Throwing ****, or waving the finger, or shouting obscenities is what we WANT to do, but it is NOT what we should do. Rise above. It's a fact of life (or death) that if you are on a motorcycle, you are inevitably a target at some point.
On the plus side, with gas at 4.09 on the west coast, maybe there will be more bikes and less cagers to deal with out there.
