Default Loooong week....

Re-wired the whole bike from the ground up, replaced my clutch pack with a Barnett kevlar extra plate/diaphragm spring kit, and sorted out some busted/worn oil tank and battery tray mounts. It took a while, but it came out GREAT! Hooks up much smoother and hauls *** without slippage. Wheelies are easier too[8D].

Oh yeah, busy is an understatement. Chasing wires and making sure everything was nice n tight is a pain in the *** like no other.

Clutch was easy though, had that done in about an hour. Found out my pressure plate retainer ring was about 50% GONE, so I replaced the pressure plate while I was in there too.

I reused the basket and the actual hub, they're strong enough on their own (regardless of what people say!!!), and went with the Barnett/Energy One extra plate kit. It's ALOT smoother and hooks up 10 times better just off the feel alone. I was havin trouble keepin the front wheel entirely on the ground off the light a couple times today on my way into work[8D]. Definitely worth the 100 bucks plus the 5 dollar quart of primary oil it took to get everything. It's got that Kung-Fu Grip now, lol.

If you want the whole Barnette Scorpion kit, you're lookin at about 560-570 bucks or so. But I think for what I'm running now, the plates alone were the right choice.

yeh, well you would figure the stock basket would be made of nails.....
Been thinking since I'm done cosmetically, it's time to improve the heart [8D]

That's kinda where I'm at...but mine also has over 70K on it, and I've only rebuilt the top end, so the tranny was next. I'm still holding off until I get all my parts together, but I'm working from the heads all the way down doing a full stage 3 and swapping the gear set out for a Baker 6 speed. So far I've got a few parts piled up, for now I'm not doing anything beyond basic maintenance and repairs until I have everything I need to build it all up at once.

Patience sucks...but I'm glad I have lots of it, lol.
