Should have just gotten chrome.....
Then I wouldn't be so tempted to do what I just did.
I just took the rattle can to the lower engine, primary and stuff....It looks good so far. I will need to go back and cut in the small parts but should look good from a few feet away for now.
I was thinking about taking the dremel tool to the engine fins and seeing if I could get it to POP a little like the Night Train.
Any thoughts on that idea............?

RE: Should have just gotten chrome.....
Did you tear the motor down? (heads and barrels) If so it's real easy to polish the fins...... if not, it's more difficult to get to them all and get a consistant polish.I've done a few sets with a dremmel and they look great. The trick is to get them nice and flat without removing too much metal. If you're feeling daring youcan get a thin diamond bit and diamond cut the fins. It's not hard to do,just tedious.Cut in at45* angles(shallow cuts)on one fin and change the direction on the next and so on...........it takes a while but looks killer.
Also, to anyone planning on painting heads and barrels the standard wrinkle paint won't hold up as well as a high temp BBQ or stove paint(no primer).I've painted a few motors and have gotten the best results with BBQ paint(1200*)Ace Hardware makes an excellent high temp and it also comes in gloss black which looks more like a satin when cured.
