I am not a Harley guy

I am not a Harley guy
Fellow riders,
I am posting this in shame of what I have done. I have committed a sin: I made my cycle quieter.
I bought my cycle used (2006 883 custom) and it came with the Screaming Eagle II pipes on it. I like the rumble and growl sound of them but they are a bit louder than I wanted. I live in a neighborhood with some people who really dislike alot of noise so I'm always conscious of it. I've seen people say on the forum how the SE pipes are only a bit louder than stock so I figured stock pipes might be perfect for me. I took off my SE II slip-ons last night and put the stock mufflers on and then started the cycle. My first thought was "Wow, this thing is REALLY quiet now."
So now my cycle is much quieter and I took it for a test ride and it seems fine. Except my wifesays I can't be a Harley guy since my cycle isn't loud. What she doesn't realize is now I can sneak home on my cycle at 2 in the morning and she won't know what time I pulled in the driveway since it will be so quiet, heh.
I guess my cycle is no longer a cycle: It's a stealthy recon vehicle!

RE: I am not a Harley guy
I can't help but have respect for a man that does his own thing especially if it is agains't the majority. Hats off to you. There is still individuality left and not just conformity. Sometimes I get comments like do this or do that. I say no. This or that is not what I want.
