Default Advice for a XL 883 R

Hello to all,
First U introduce myself,My name is Frank 47 years old,and a bike enthusiast since I was born.
After a lot of sportbike's,Ducati,Honda,Yamaha,Norton,and a few BMW's(for the moment I drive a BMW R 1150 GS from 2002)
This one.

I'm living in Belgium(Europe)in Bornem a small city near Antwerp.(My English is not so good,so excuse me)
So,I've got enough,to drive long trips, enough of high speed cornering, now I just want to cruise.
Been looking around and there where a few bike's that intrested me a lot,a Triumph truxton, and my all time favorit a XL 883 R in vivid black(that's the only Harley I really like)
Now i can buy a real nice one, with only 4350Km on the count, for a real good price.
This one.

But it's modified with a"******" http://www.nrhsperformance.com/ekitsportster.shtml1250cc Cylinder kit,great...even more torque than my "Beemer"
So,what shall I do,please give me some more info about the 1250 kit
Thank's
Frank

keep the GS and by the sporty
I run a 2002 r1150 GSA and we have a pair of harleys a sportser and a dyna.

Looking at the link the kit uses barrels made by axteel which are a know good quality brand. It does depend on how well the engine was built and what warante you will get on it.

What year is the 883? If it is a 2004 or later, NRHS had some oil consumption issues with their conversions. I would simply inquire about that from the current owner.

Hello,
Thanks for the answers.
First of all,how do I post a picture, seems it does not work with imageshack??
The XL 883 R is a 2005,of the 5 month.
It's brand new because it run's only 4350 Km(I dont now shure but thats only about les than 3000 miles)
It have also"Screaming Eagle"exhausts.
On the power run on the site of"Nillan" wil the kit have 85 HP and about 83 Nm torque.
I drive it for a short while yesterdayevening, and it run great(sound also!!)

I was thinking the same thing, I wonder if a compression leak down test would identify an oil burner?

Thanks,
Like you see,the sportster is in a brand new state(just like my GS,with 72.000KM or 50.000Miles)
Hope I can sel him in a very short time,so I can buy the sportster!!!
By the way,the price for the"Beemer"is 7.500€ for the European readers.
