I don't know EXACTLY what being in a MC consists of. I'm sure its different for each club, but I would totally be down to prospect. I love that brotherhood thing they have going on. And I would look like a total badass. Which is what I am all about these days.
Actually its about the same for most clubs from what I hear. When you prospect, you are basically a b!tch for the club. You go get what they want when they want, and don't ask questions. If you do make sure you keep a supply of smokes, matches or lighters, rubbers, and cash on you. I'd also seriously think about it before you did. A lot of the clubs don't like each other. And they are more than willing to get violent about it to let the other know. If you want a good insight into the Mongols at least, get the book Under and Alone by William Queen. It will open your eyes.

Hunter S. Thompson also wrote a book about riding with the Hells Angels for a while....interesting stuff.

Being in a 1%er type MC isn't worth the trouble it will cause you. If you lead a somewhat normal life, you'll never really fit in, and prospecting is pretty much a glorious waste of time, money, and energy. And TigerofH is right, being a prospect is like being a pledge for a frathouse...only worse.

I dunno WHY people think 1%ers are always the most horrible thing on two wheels!?

I have quite a few friends in various clubs that are considered one-percenters...and they're not all bad people.

Not directed at you, lol....it just bugs me in general.
Same here. I've got some family members in the Outlaws. I also ride with a couple local MC peeps, but I don't think I'd ever join a MC.

Okay, okay, calm down. I was trying to joke, but alas, sarcasm isn't conveyed very well on the internet.
I probably should have added some smilies.
