Default Cop was nice to me

Hey all. Had a great ride yesterday, went out for a steak with a friend, down in the oklahoma/kansas border area. Temperature was up to 80 or so roughly, no major wind, perfect ride on a perfect day. Was heading back to my town around 7 or so....crusing 80 plus with a huge tailwind at my back.Met the local deputy.....and the lights came on. This was the first time I'd been pulled over on my bike....but got lucky. He flipped the lights on...I was pulled over, bike off, hazards on and license and registration ready before he even got pulled up to me. I have no tickets, nothin on my record...he asked what my hurry was, I said there was no excuse, I knew I was speeding and was just enjoying the day. He said well at least youre honest, smiled, looked at the bike a second...said keep it down, the next guy might not be so nice. Handed me my stuff back, and drove off. I was like phew......first time pulled over....felt lucky as hell. And I didnt get hassled for loudness or crazy pipes. Was a good day, wierd end, but a good feeling to ride and get home after that.

Good for you. It might have been the first time you were ever pulled over but you handled it just right. The last thing they want to encounter is a bunch of bull chit along with attitude. That's a sure guarantee for trouble.

Its a lot easier to respect cops when they respect you. I have NO respect for the power abusing, donut eating morons that think they own the world. Sadly, there is a lot of them out there.

In my experience all you have to do is be honest and respectful to them...and they will return the favor. If they don't, they desrve a tazer to the ball sack. Hahaha.

So, in short it was a great day. Was a nice day here as well, and got tailed by a Trooper on the way home for about five miles. When he finally passed he waved but I was afraid I would drop my tools so I didn’t wave back.
