Default Balance on lift.

Any tricks for balancing my bike on the lift when I pull the front end?
I am using a craftsman lift (whoever invented THAT deserves the Nobel Prize)

Tie down straps are a must.

Just slide the jack under the bike twords the rear a bit and jack it up to just clear the wheels to see if its balanced right.
Might take a couple times but youll know when its right, couple straps holding it down on the front frame area and your good to go. Ive done it many times, never a problem..........

Yea, I will be using the straps. I just didn't know if I should offset the bike so that the straps aren't holding the front end down by themselves.

Yes...use a strap, but always place something under rear tire and ease jack down till tire touches it.

keep the side stand down at all times.
Slide it under jack it up strap it down set lock and your done.
Sears Pro lift i use it on my FB and RG I even get on the bike with it on the stand I know it is not for that but I can. plus i wheel it all over the garage on the stand with very liittle effort
This thing is 100% stable and alot of room to play with for centering jack

I just use one strap, across the bike, between the seat and gas tank. No worries. Depends on the model of the Sporty I guess.

On my Sporty, I have to put the stand up to get the jack at a good balence point. Basically I sit on the bike, lift the stand, then use my right foot to help guide the jack under.

I use 2 straps, one between the seat and tank and the other across the neck area.

I have the same jack. I put it back so it is just infront of the kickstand stop. then strap it. If I really need to stablizie it I take my floor jack and put under the rear wheel and it aint going no where.
