I bet if you cruise into the dealership and show them that cash you will be riding out on a sportster at a discounted price.
You stand a better chance of getting a discount if you finance. Paying cash gives the dealer the least profit and he's less likely to discount as much as he would if you were financing with him getting a kick back from the bank.
He is right, dealershate cash and will make you pay more. They get a huge kickback by sending loans through HD financial. The dealer gave me an extra $1500 on my trade to finance the new bike and not pay cash. Of course I paid it all off the first payment anyway.
