How do you handle cagers?

How do you handle cagers?
I should rephrase it to: How do you folks handle dangerous, dumb, inattentive, and malicious cagers?
Dunno, but with the warm weather here, cagers are getting worse - worse than any season I can remember - and my tolerance is very low and I find myself snapping. I had a lady today pass me on the shoulder of a narrow road - - I was keeping up with traffic and she apparently didn't want to be behind a bike. She came pretty close to nailing me. I called her every name I could think of - and then invented some more. I'm not one for road rage, but I guess I expect more respect being on a bike lately. Doesn't look like it works that way....

Wow. That's a tough one. The last several days, I have been using my bike for work instead of my car, so I have been noticing the same as you. However, since I drive for a living (deliveries), I also experience this awful driving behavior whether I'm in my cage or on the Sporty. My reaction has to be the same...let them go...I have learned to expect the unexpected and realize that many drivers do not deserve to be licensed. My safety and life depend on ME being aware and defensive. Getting into a road rage state never helps. Just my .02.

Have to agree with that statement, although at time a bit difficult to follow. After all is said and done, and the swearing, and finger pointing, and pride is defended, yadayadayada you have to be able to make it home for another day.

get out the way and let them go. bikes NEVER win against cars. Period. End of story.
(I'm sure by now there are a hundred uber-macho posts about kicking off mirrors or pulling a piece. I call BS on every one)

Normally, I just try to be very defensive.
Except that you mentioned "malicious". If the cager is TRUELY malicious, I've only experience that once. Resulted in him pulling a knife on me. Fortunately, for me....he had brought a knive to a gun fight.
I'm probably gonna regret bringing that back up.
