Hey OFG, my best bud recently joined your Combat Vets Association in Winter Park, Colorado last year at a rally. As I am not a vet, I cannot join, but you guys run a real nice organization. But hey, I got a sweet "Support Combat Vets" patch!

Someone mention snow?
But serious, bikes are just a vehicle, and like your car or truck, they won't 'melt' if they get wet....

It's a good national organization, and I believe they now have official Chapters in about 39 states.
It's really growing, especially in the past couple of years.

RE: It rained on my new bike
We DREAM of rain here, haven't had a decent rain for nearly 10 yrs, dams at 25% full (or 75% empty)
You get booked for washing a bike or car downunder.
No watering gardens, lawns etc
Every new house now has to have a water tank, don't know why, no bloody rain to put in the tanks
And I live in what was known as the garden state, rain 70% of the time.
Now we are known as the "Dry State"
Hmmm, maybe this climate thingy is REAL
Bloody drought !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers

RE: It rained on my new bike
Worst rain I've run into was a full blown downpour, was coming home from my former significant other's house at the time, she had her family there or I wouldve stayed all night. This was at 1 am on a country pavedroad, thunder and lightning everywhere, I didnt know til I got home there was a severe thunderstorm warning and I was right in the middle of it....oi it stung. Had to slow down to 15, eventually stop and just wait and go a little more..etc etc, but earnedmy "rain badge" that night.

I particularly don't mind riding in the rain. In fact, I rode year round when I had my BMW F650GS (Lots of rain, dark, freezing temps, etc...miss the heated grips). I've got good rain gear.
I was just hoping the keep the new Harley 'new' until the Fall. Then ride regardless of the weather.
BTW, love the scoot!!
