Default Nightster Aftermarket Exhaust Question

I did a cursory search and got frustrated with the 'search' capability here.

Anyhow, I'd like to get a different exhaust for my Nightster, but it seems everyone has a problem with aftermarket exhaust -- not running right in a particular RPM range. I don't want that. Seems like a fuel management module doesn't solve the issue either.

Is there a pipe out there that looks better and performs better without my having to spend thousands getting a fuel module and tuning? Is there an expert out there that has this issue sussed out?

I particularly like VH short shots black and Pipedreames Nitemarez... anyone got a set to sell me? Provided you're not selling them because they make the bike run like crap...

Any help or guidance on this issue is appreciated!

Schumacher,
I appreciate ya, but those are ugly pipes! Reminds me of 70s bell-bottom pants! $1000!!! Ouch -- and then I'd spend another $1000 on a module and professional tuning I suppose...

Hmmm... Don't think so.

Well, I figured that's not the look you were going for
Those pipes are from the 70's, actually

FWIW, there is a good read about exhaust systems (to include performance at each RPM range, maximizing performance without sacrificing looks, etc) in the new Hot Bike mag (Vol. 40, issue 5). Answered a lot of my own questions as I am on my quest for upgrading my pipes and A/C.
