GPS - So Who's got one - And What's good out there?

I use a map, but I've been thinking of getting a GPS. Will still take the paper maps as backup, though. The GPS seems like it's really good for reading and knowing where you are and where you are going at a glance. Paper maps require a tank bag or map holder attached to the tank to do the same thing. And even then, it you ride outside the folded area, you have to stop and refold it.

I have had 4 units now and all they do is get better. Still have'nt put one on the Sporty though. Had a Garmin Streetpilot, a Navman Ipaq add on, a Magellan Roadmate 300 and just got the wife a Garmin Nuvi 200.
I like the Garmins the best as map updates seem readily available and Magellan has not had an upgrade for mine in 2 years. I'm looking at the Nuvi for the Sporty as it's small, updatable and inexpensive (compared to the TomTom rider 2)

The thought I have is using a GPS while riding is just about as safe as a cager talking on a cell phone. Both are called multi-tasking and bothare hazardous. I still like to pull off the road, stop and check my map. I've never had a problem yet.

Zumo 550.
It comes with a bike mount and a vehicle mount. If you have a radio it has voice commands, MP3, and it's XM radio compatible just have to get the service and antenna. It's also blue tooth compatible. Totally water proof.
It comes with software to allow you to preplan trips and download them to the unit. You can get updates free from Garmin's websiteso the roads, gas stations and such are always current. You can set it for the fastest rout or set it up to avoid the highways and take the back roads.
There are other features I just haven't figured them all out yet.

I just got a nokia 6110 main reason is the inbuilt GPS, it has voice instructions that can go through a bluetooth ear piece, not at all keen on trying to read a map and ride so the bluetooth eliminates the need to look,
its great if you plan in advance, map a suitable route first. its one of those things I rarely need or use but when its needed it invaluable
