Default Rear fender advice

I was going to wait till this winter and try to chop my own fender but I have decided to buy a used one and work away on it during the summer.
I have been looking on e-bay and most just list the year they are off, does anyone know what years will fit an 07? & is the differences just the style or did the mounting location change at some point.
Thanks
PS: anyone got one that would fit that they would like to sell cheap?

The 07 + are different than 04 - 06 for the bobtail fenders. . I seem to remember the EFI being installed in the rear fender.

Only 07 will fit 07 up from what I gather since the ECM is sunk into the fender. 06 back have a smallerECM under the seat not in fender.

If you find out that it fits, I have an 04 fender that I recently chopped that I could sell you. I can send some pics. if you would like. It just needs to be repainted.

Yeah like a few already said you need an 07/08 fender but even on ebay they will be up there on price. Why not just buy the nightster fender? from what I have read about it all you need is fender/fender support/brake light conversion/and the black plastic side pieces that connect to the plate but I think thats it. I'm assuming your going to chop the brake light/license plate off and your going to have to buy the brake/turn kit and plate relocate anyway plus the price of the fender on ebay and then paint after it gets chopped. Thats my thoughts but what do I know

Why not chop it yourself bro. There are several techniques that wouldn't require you to repaint. I have chopped several...some crude, some pretty nice. Once you make it you own it bro!
