CHarley do you think you could make up a chart like that for my 07 Street Bob? I would greatly appreciate it. Let me know if you need gear ratios or whatnot.

Can someone tell me what it sounds like to hit the rev-limiter?

It sounds like you just ****ed up the motor. In fact I thought I did the first time I hit the limiter on the Sporty. I hit it all too often on the Street Bob, damn I need a tach.

ORIGINAL: 1200efi

&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;08 1200C rev limit comes on at 5900, bought a tach with a shift light, set that at 5400, by the time my reflexes get moving I'm at 5850-5900. works out ok. Would like to get up to 6000-6200 but dealer will not do it for me. [:@]

Buy a sert...

Default Can't Download the charts

Would someone please repost the charts originally put up by cHarley? I don't get a link. Would love to take a look. I just bought a 2001 Sportster with quite a few miles on her and once I get in the 75mph range it feels like she is going to shake to pieces. It was an 883 that was converted up to a 1200. I'm assuming the gears were never upgraded and am going to count teeth when I get home tonight. No tach so some charts would be great.

Tires from different manufactures can vary slightly in size, these charts are based on an average stock 150/80-16 rear tire.

Thanks for reposting those, I was guessing based on the sound that 4th gear at 40mph was about 2500rpm, looks like I was right on.
