Hey guys, just got my sporty, and I know it has security, but I dont think it has the siren. A guy at work tells me he has one off of an 08 Dyna he would sell me cheap, Would it fit on my 06 Sporty? He says that it will, and they look exactly the same, but I was just curious.

Check the part numbers.

 

I have looked, and have gotten different numbers from different places.

 

How about $ 5.79 from radio shack. Part number #273-079 . Cheap enough? Just have to modify connection since it doesn't have a plug, just two wires.

The mounting bracket is different, since the '04-'06 sporty siren mounts under the frame (probably different size in the Dyna so you would have to make some kind of mod)
You would want to make sure the connector (in front of your battery) matched up.
One I was looking at buying from a softtail was the same part # for the siren itself. I got the right one (smart siren with pager) on e-bay for $60, so it was not worth making a mod to fit the other.
It is not all that loud, but it sure drives our dog f****ng nuts when I forget to disarm it before standing the bike up.
