If you grab one you had better be handy with a wrench. I've had an '82 and i have a '76. They are great machines, They are not Geezer Glides, but you can put decent miles on them if looked after.
That you do.. I had to tighten up every motor mount bolt when I first got it. Now I check once a month or so. I ride it daily. She is an 85, has some issues but she screams when you twist it a little.. speedo is off some my buddy tells me I am running ten miles faster than what I think i am.. I am cruising around 70 @ 3 grand or so on the tach. The only issue I have now is that for some reason the thing aint charging right and will die if I run the lights.. as soon as I turn the lights off she runs like a crazy lady..
