i own a 2005 XL1200C with just over 5K miles. I bought the bike at the end of last year and i just got it back today from storage. i was planning on buying some 4" mini drag baffles just to make it a little louder. well, today, i went out to try and remove the baffles and they were stuck in the pipes!! and yes i removed the screws. my question is how do i get theses suckers out, can i spray some PB blaster in there, will that help, or do i have to have the pipe hot so it will expand?

 

Use Corrosion X and an allen wrench in the threads of the baffle (like a hook) to jerk it outta there.

When I put in the Big City Thunder baffles I had to remove the mufflers and stick a piece of wood in the connecting end of the mufflers to whack the old baffles out - what a pain! I hope you're successful in not having to remove them. Let us know.
