5'11 and I have forward. Had mids and I hated them. I'm sure I can't get as agressive with the forwards but I'm just a puttin away on my Harley for the most part anyways.

On a side note, I noticed today after a 100 mile ride, I had no issues with numbness or hurting tailbone. I have my LePera seat which is less comfortable than the stocker on the bike right now.
Thinking back the only really bad times I can recall were when riding two up. I tend to ride sitting in a more upright postiion when she's on the back than I do when I'm alone on a ride.
As for my forwards: they will stay and a set of Kuryakyn "Swing Wings" are in my near future. http://www.easternperformance.com/in...oducts_id=1699
There will be plenty of 2 up comfort as soon as her car is paid off.... Then we go Bagger shopping!!! [8D]And the Sportster becomes exclusively a 1 up bike.

I am 6' and have fowards that came on the bike. I actually hang my feet over the pegs and rest my ankles on themwhen riding on long stretches.

I like forwards on my Sportster. I use the passenger pegs for a change in position.

On other Harleys, I like mids with highway pegs on other Harleys. For some reason, mids on big twins don't feel as cramped as they do on a Sportster.

I'm 6' and long legged so I prefer fwd controls. Especially on longer rides I find my legs are alot more comfortable.

I have been using the mid controls on my nightster, but am a little cramped when shifting, so I just bought some forwards. It sounds like it all depends on personal preference. Ride it for awhile with what it comes with and then adjust accordingly.

I swapped my forwards for mids. Much better control, and I can stand up on em for the really big bumps, lol. It's also nice in the winter now that cold *** air ain't blowin up my pants all the time.

I had mids on my last bike but always felt cramped and the need to stretch, although I am still getting used to the forwards it seems a much more comfortable way to ride, around 5'10 with 33 inseam

Who's your choice for forwards? There are so many different configurations and pricesfrom that I've seen and I'm still looking. I guess I'm looking for the quality bargin controls.

If I had it to do over for a sportster I think I would have mids and hwy. pegs. The 04 up 3/4 controls just don't stetch my legs enough when cruising and the mids would be nicer for handling. Compared to a big twin the sportsters fwds. are about where mids are for me on a BT and my 32" inseam is bent like sitting in a chair with myfwds. on my 06 1200C. The hwy. pegs seem to sit further fwd. than fwd. controls. You can even see the difference compared to pearlsporty fwd. controls above which is older that the pegs are 3-4" further back on newer bikes.
