Holy **** am I confused now. I am 170# and have stock shocks looking to stop that hard jarring witth high speed bumps on the freeway. I have mine set on the softest preload. iIwas thinking of getting the progressives, but a a little bummed about the black interiors, and now I don't even know if they well be a better ride. I guess I will try working my preload for a while. Someone says "bottoming out" is the problem, how do I know that? Thereis no noise or scraping or anything.

I have the 440's on my 07 Roadster, have had them for about a month. I too noticed a bit, ok a lot, stiffer ride. I have them on the softest setting overall. They do respond a lot better to expansion joints on the freeway though. The stockers at their stiffest would bottom when I and my daughter were on it over small bumps and gutters. I weigh 180 and she weighs 110. No, I wasn't jumping it. It handles a lot smoother through turns and has a lot more ground clearance through corners. I 'm thinking they just might need a bit more break in.
