Have I done the right thing....Rain.
I'm unsure if I have done the right thing. Yesterday I got home very late and left my bike outside without its cover on, thinking it wasn't going to rain, to my surprise I woke up today, looked out the window and saw it was raining damn hard. when it kind of stopped raining I ran out, semi-wiped it dry and covered it but now that I think about it I'm not sure if its better to let it get wet and when the rain stops completely I should dry it and cover it, or if what I just did (cover it while wet) and wash it tomorrow is better.
Is covering a bike while humid or wet ok? or should I run outside and take the cover off?
Also; Should I wash my bike after rain gets it wet, even if I didn't ride.

Owning a Harley can sure induce a little paranoia in all of us - LOL!
Mine has sat out in pouring rain, covered and uncovered, been ridden through steady rain for hours on end, and sometimes I hose it off afterwards with a little Simple Green and wipe it down. Sometimes I don't. I'm not real good when it comes to keeping the bike in showroom condition because I HATE cleaning it![:'(] I really have to develop a better attitude about that.[]
Rain won't hurt the bike at all, but eglidebob gives you good advice to keep the rust gremlins away...
