Default People with "denim" paint....

How do you like it? Does it attract a lot of dust, is it easy to clean? Also, if you clean it too much does it start to give it a glossy look?

I love the denim paint on my bike. It is so easy to clean it is wonderful. I don't know about the black but the silver denim doesn't show dust hardly at all, I think all silver paint is like that so silver denim gives you the best of both worlds, shows no dust and is extremely easy to clean.

I rarely wipe off the denim paint inbetween washings which is about once a month or so. Now I do wipe off the chrome and polish the aluminum but damn the paint is so easy to take care of.
I know what you mean about the paint looking glossy if you rub it or clean it too much. My flat black helmet has started doing that and so has my flat black luggage rack after having bungie chordsrubbing against it a lot. The paint on the bike however isn't showing any signs of the glossy spots.

Dust off denim black with a California duster, wipe off with Windex between washes, no noticeable change in paint so far after a year+.

It's easy enough to clean but gets damaged fairly easily and can't be rubbed out like regular paint. If I had it to do over again I would have got Vivid black.

Denim paint is pretty easy to care for. Gloss black is going to be the most difficult to keep clean. I don't know that windex is good for the paint, ammonia is will strip the wax off and dry the paint out. I would stick with a quick detailer, they cost the same amount of money to purchase.

as far as painting a bike a denim color, is there anything different? I'm guessing you still use a clear coat, or no? just wondering because i'm about to paint a bike and denim black was high up on the list

With denim paint there is no wax or clearcoat involved. Just straight up paint. If you wax it, itll start to shine, if you clear coat it itll shine. The best thing to wash it with is apple dishwashing detergent. I usually use ammonia free aerosol glass cleaner for a quick clean with microfiber towles. I dont know about windex but I do know that the ammonia will cause the paint to fade. Maby not as noticable on silver denim, but definitly on the black. But denim is real easy to care for, the only kicker is that it scratches easy.
