I'm new to this forum, and after reading for a few hours, I've already gained a lot of knowlege. Great resource! I just purchased a 2004 1200XL Sportster, and not only is this my first HD, it's my first street bike after lots of years riding in the woods. Now I need to buy some gear. I saw some leather jackets at the Jafrum site, and the prices seem so low, that I'm afraid it's crap. Anyone buy a Jacket there?

I've got one of their jackets. Its okay I suppose and is the same jacket found at tons of stores and online sources like Leatherup or Jammin leathers. Its a heavy jacket with a warm removeable linerbut the leather is thin and looks are fair but clearlly not the quality of athick nakedleather jacket. The fit is also restricting around the arms and sleeves are on the short side but its was cheap and you get what you pay for. Foxcreek leather makes the best around but you'll pay for it.
Honestly the best jacket for me has been the Tourmaster Pivot 2. The tourmaster is a textile jacket that is wind and waterproof, lots of venting and storage along with a removeable thermal liner and removeable body armor. May not fit the biker look but clearly better than many leather jackets for all around, all season useand was cheap ($118 at the time).
I'd say not to waste your money on a cheap leather jacket and if you want leather only buy the $$$ ones if you want qaulity and good looks.

While you do get what you pay for, I have been very pleased with the jacket I bought from www.hotleathers.com Heavy leather, good liner. Rode 275 miles in 34 degree weather with nothing more than a long sleeved shirt.. I am very satisfied in there jackets for the price...

RE: jafrum clothing
I've bought 2 sets of chaps and a light leather jacket for the wife. I have been very happy with the stuff. The first chaps were made from the lower quality leather with lots of dyes in it. Man it smelled for months. I had to keep them in the garage. I keep wiping them down and airing them out. Took a long time to lose the smell.
The next set was for the wife. I bought the next grade up. Much better. Also got her a jacket. Not real heavy but she is a fair weather rider. Looks good.
The price can't be beat and the quality is very good for the money.
