basically stock 87 sportster with recent rebuild anda 1200 conversion. slight bump in compression too.

my buddy who's never taken a bike down the track will be driving. he's probably 150lbs. i'll be racing my car soi'll tryto get a pass or two.

not sure what to expect, my car runs 6.7's, guessing 8.8's for the sportster. i know its not fast, but should be interesting.
Your car ran an 11.83 in the 1/4 hate to tell you this but that aint 6.7 in the 1/8. I had a 69 camaro with a 350 that ran 6.8 in the 1/8th and it turned 10.40 quarter mile times.

His car ran 11.83 on the first run shown but ran 10.68 on the second run shown. Also he is expecting to run 10.40 next time he runs the 1/4. So it can be running 6.7 in the 1/8.

A new 1200 Sportster should be able to do 0-60 in 4.5 to 5.0 seconds depending on how good therider is. It should run the 1/4 in about 13.4 to 13.8@98 to 99 mph. In a 1/4 mile run the mph will be pretty constant no mater how good the rider is at launching but the et can vary all over the place depending on the riders ability.

your ADD didn't let you finish the whole video. the 1st was with the rev limiter kicking in at 5k rpms versus my 5800 to 6k shift point. in the 1st video you can hear the rev limiter in 1st and second. going into 3rd i had to let off because i hit the rev limiter again and had to coast. hence, high 11 second pass. pulled the pill and no more problems. on the 10.67 run, i accidentally deep staged (watch the video) as i tried to build boost on the line and ruined my launch. thats the only time i've taken the fairmont to the 1/4 mile.

your in carolina and i'm in va and race in carolina. lets line them up and see what it runs against your camaro.

Looking to break into the high 8s this year with a Buell blast and 175lb rider. Hopefully we can do it. Almost run with the average rider on an 883
