RE: Picked her up...
Nice lookin' bike! Break it in first before worrying about mods. I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but that means just ride it normally. Um...riding it "normally" means ride like the rest of traffic is going. Don't lug engine, change gears, vary engine speed, don't over rev the motor, and don't take long trips on interstate with it yet. It's "officially" broken in at 1,000 mile service, but for practical purposes, it's broken in somewhere around 500 miles. I got mine in September. Six months later I'm due for my 5,000 mile service. Geez! That means I'm slacking off! I need to ride more!

I installed a Kisan Pathblazer headlight modulator. If you are tired of the asshatts trying to run you down, give this little gadget a try. Make sure it's Kisan, though. I tried a cheap POS from COmagination and it failed leaving me without headlight (high or low beam)
I've had Kisan modulators on my bike bike for about 5 years and they are without doubt the single most effective safety device I've ever come across.
I'm waiting on Zanotti to ship my jin-yew-wine HD accessories - rigid sissy bar + luggage rack, auxiliary brake light and USCG emblem, the run/tail/turn converter, a fork brace, touring wind screen and saddlebag brackets.
I'm still debating which saddlebags to mount. I like AAR, but I'm not sure they'll fit right.

Right now, I'm just takin' it easy with short rides and lots of parking lot practice. Gotta make sure I know exactly what the bike will do no matter what so she don't surprise me later. I think I'm averaging half a mile riding in circles for every mile I ride on the street. [sm=happybounce.gif]
I have to say, the brakes on the R are wicked. After a dozen moderate effort brake runs, I was able to lock the front end in "panic" braking and it's the bike is quite stable.
