Just bought a Gorilla alarm system and would like to know if anyone else has installed one on an 883, where was the best location to mount it.

 

Well I finally installed it, it took me 1hr just to find a spot on the bike. I do not recommend getting the Gorilla 7017 for a Sportster since the factory tech has not installed one either or my local stealer. I have a badlander seat and ended up cutting a portion of the foam in the tail end of it to mount it. It is loud to keep someone away too.

 

That's what I was afraid of, "no room."

I have an alarm system that I had on another bike. I never could think of a good place to install it so I didn't bother. Shhh... don't tell the thieves.

Thanks, well I tried and succeeded, and yes al it takes is a phillips screw driver to remove a seat, there must be a torx type screw availableto fasten a seat down to keep them honest.

I seen it advertized on e-bay and it looked like the price was right, just wondered how the thing would install.
