RE: battery tender question
If the third plug is a pigtail you won't need the alligator clips.
Does plug coming off the battery & the plug coming off the tender look the same? If so, it is prob a pigtail & they plug in to each other.
I made the mistake of taking out my battery before I found the pigtail - UGH!

RE: battery tender question
ya the plug coming from the battery right by the end of the tank where the seat begins fits the plug from the charger. so the alligator clips are only if I didn't have that and i dont need to use them?

RE: battery tender question
Don't need to use the alligator clips...the connector from battery tender to your pigtail plug will work just fine. When you first plug in tender the red light will come on, minutes later the green light will flash. When the battery is fully charged, the green light will stay on all the time.
I unplug the battery tender from the wall outlet while I'm out riding.
