Default RE: Question about lowered Sportster

OK so if I got this straight I can re-install the OEM rear shocks (which were given to me with the purchase) and for the front possibly see if the fork tubes were slid up into the trees? If not then I can replace the fork springs to adjust the height? Does that sound right? If I had to replace the fork springs, whats the rule for the fluid? Does than need replacing also or is there a level it needs to be filled to?

Yup! That sounds right to me...but I'm not very mechanically inclined, so I don't know the general rule about the fluid. I would THINK you might need just a little more, because lower springs would create decreased volume? Not sure exactly. SOMEONE on this forum knows, though.
