A thread last fall showed a lot of sportster riders 6' 2" and taller. The 1200C is a good choice, I have had a ball riding mine. The ultimate tall man's bike may be the Wide Glide though.

 

Thanks for all the input, guys! I started another thread in the General Discussion forum. I'm going to take my time on this. First thing I'm gonna do is take the "Rider's Edge" course, and get my license again. Then, I'll rent a Sporty and a Dyna to see which one really suits me better. I'll keep you posted.

I agree with the others. You're too big for a Sportster.

If you get a Dyna, get the FXDWG. At your size, I'd be looking at a Softail though.

 

Another vote for the 1200 custom. I'm 6'2" 235 & love mine. Obviously you're going to want forward controls, but I think that's standard on the C.

 

I agree, sit on a few, test the size, etc. If you still want that sporty, I dont know a dealer in the world who wouldnt oblige you. Sounds to me like you know what you want, go with it.
