Shhhhh! Dude, you weren't supposed to tell anyone that! Or the fact that my wife has to walk her Nightster over speedbumps - crap! I didn't mean to let that slip!

Hate to break the news to you, but the stripped down, custom framed flat track XR750 used by Evil might be in the same "family" as the Sportster, but distant cousins at best...
I'd have as much luck trying to perform some of the stunts he did with my raked 1200C as you would with a Nightster, or any other current model Sportster..

Hey XHarley: I agree, Nightsters are hot. I fell in love with mine on site--the Nightster is why I bought a Harley. Also, the first roll out Nightster pics from Harleyhad the HD designer in the photos--he's 5"10". He might have been about 30 pounds lighter, butwhat's thediff. I bet you look great on it, and like you're having fun...and you definitely show you have good taste ! Enjoy!

Little known secret is the fact that the larger bikes from the Ultra down owners still have their souls in the Sportster lineup.. Yep I went from a sportster to a softtalk to a RK and an Ultra... only to come back to the roots of it all... A Sportster.. Quick and nimble and enough bike for anyone.. The larger bikes are great for long distance and comfort but if you just feel the need to jump on a bike to ride through town then the Sportster line up fills the bill..
I too look big on a Sportster... like the bear in the circus act... but on the Ultra I felt more like a European Cab driver and was always in fear of getting into a tight area with such a large bike to turn around. Ultra's and many of the larger Harley's don't take to off road experiences very well.... Seen my share of heavy Harley's stuck in the soft mud in dirt parking lots at rallies etc.. Not afraid to take the Sportster anyway as the Sportster like no other Harley does off the COMPLETE FREEDOM to ride almost anywhere..

I never liked the look of stock HD's until the Nightster. I'm buying one in the next few months as soon as I buy a house. I'm selling off gear from my recording studio to get a decent downpayment ready. That's how much I like it. You've got the sweetest stock harley out there IMO.

Right on bud. 6'1" 245 and I don't care if I look like a shriner on a toy bikeon my Nightster. For a production bike with attitude right off the assembly line, that's the bike.I use it to commute, tear around town, and **** cops and old ladies off with my loud pipes.
I'll probably get a bigger bike someday for long long trips, but I'll always keep my sportster. I know a lot of guys with big bikes that are jealous. It's all about being safe, having fun, and freedom.
Cheers
