Default Shoulda asked you all first

I don't know why , but I had some questions about an Ironhead, so I went to the Ironhead forum..........didn't get alot of responses (1)......
and just to mention, after looking and riding that bike, why I love my 1200R....but maybe you can give me some input....shoulda came to this forum first..........
74 XLH(rt hand shift)
1-needs rear tire
2- chain is so bad it rubs on frame ..needs new one
3- oil leaks (bubbles actually) around the tappet blocks
4--needs rear brake shoes
5-needs front mast cyl...maybe just a good bleeding
6-exhaust system shot.

good stuff ,Iguess:
1-original paint, original tins
2-engine never been apart...fairly low miles
3-runs good ...even with straight drags
4-shifts good.

Pretty much original cept for :
1-seat
2-pipes
3risers for bars
4-air cleaner cover
5-foot pegs

Dude wants $2800.00 for it ...what do you all think?...had a73 XLCH a few years back and enjoyed it....looking for a tinker bike for the stable..............thanks......BINNY

I would offer $2K for it and go from there. It doesn't seem like it needs too much but $2,800 is a little on the high side
A friend if mine is selling a '76 in good running conditionand rideable with no real issuesfor $2,200.If you can knock off a couple of hundred and you really like it grab it.They're great bikes and a lot of fun.
