It looks like you can get a small calbe lock and arest it on top of the mirror, run the lock throught the chinpiece of the helmet and throuh the throttle cable. That should be fine. I always lock up full face helmets and have never had a problem.

RE: How do I secure my helmet to my Sportster??
If it happens to be coolish enough outside, I'll wear a helmet. If I'm doing lots of quick errands (gas, smokes, bank, etc.) I'll just leave the damn thing on. If I'm going to be a while, or go to a place where it's innappropriate to wear a helmet, I'll cable lock the d ring to the sissy bar. I mean, jeez, if they want the helmet that bad to cut the damn cable lock and stupid enough not to figure out what a detachable backrest is, then they can have the damn helmet. Even without a helmet, they can have my sissy bar, back pad and luggage rack in their "getaway car" in 10 seconds! The cable lock just prevents the easily dissuaded opportunists. Besides, it's one of the few uses I have found for a gun lock! It's a gray, modular HJC in XS, so good luck to any thief who wants to turn it into coin!
