my first Harley
I heard about a Nightster a guy was selling cheap. So i checked it out because i had never owned a Harley before and i really like the look of the nightster.
After talking to the seller i was apprehensive because he had nothing but complaints about the bike. It ran to hot, to much vibration, to much engine noise. But i decided to take a chance on it cause i did like it.
I found some of his complaints were real. I really felt the heat especially at stoplights. My hubby fixed the exhaust heat problem for me with an aftermarket exhaust. Vance&hines short shots. Vibration was a problem to, i felt in my lower back after even short rides. My man put some aftermarket shocks on it which helps with the vibration considerably.
Now i am loving it. It is a great little streetfighter, great for the crazy traffic of L.A. It wouldnt be my first choice for long rides, or my second for that matter, its just not built for that, thats what i have my vulcan for, but it is my around town bike. Idid get it up to 90mph on the freeway once and im sure it could hit the brick but i dont want to push it that much.
Its a very nice little commuter bike and im so glad i took the chance on it

RE: my first Harley
I have been riding about 8 years now. First bike was a 650 ninja, was my only transportation at the time cause i didnt have a car. I was in the navy then and had to take the course cause the navy required it. I will post pics as soon as i can. I'm 5'7 and reaching the handlebars is not a problem for me. I havent tried a long ride on it yet. I live in the san fernando valley and i ride around town and to commute to Anaheim where i work.
The guy i bought it from his loss was my gain
