Click sounds but won't start....
I am having a problem when attempting to start my bike.
I hear Click Click Click like it is attempting to start but it won't start.
If I roll down the hill it will pop start, after riding for a while I can turn the bike off and it will start again. However, If I don't ride it for a day or two, the same thing happens again...
Any suggestions as to what it can be.

Measure batt voltage after bike has sat.....you wanna see right at 12.8 volts.....if voltage is lower, then batt is not charging/holding charge, OR you have a short dragging batt down.
Once started, measure batt voltage...it should be well above 12.8 while running.....13.5 to 14.5 is good and it shows charging sys is working......Then shut off bike and measure again.......and again......and again........as time goes by if you see steady voltage drop, you either have bad batt or short.
Then start and charge batt......then as soon as you shut down, remove neg cable and let sit overnight.....if batt voltage holds, then you fersure have short.

Well I am a visitor here, from touring section, but.....
First always include as much info about bike as you can.
YEAR, MAKE, MODEL (yeah I know this is sportsters forum).
First, check cables at BOTH ends clean and tight.
Two how old is battery, is it fully charged.
It may be able to keep a charge short term, few minutes to an hour or so,
But not over night. Have it tested!!
Next check your charging system, make sure it is charging properly.
Check your starter, may need brushes cleaned or replaced. Or you
could need a new starter.
Lastly check for a short that is draining the battery.

Well, yeah.........BUT.
One thang about us guys here is we all have certain experience with so many different bikes.
And many times knowing exactly what bike is involved will help narrow it down.....Some year/model bikes have issues with certain equipage that isn't found on other year/model bikes. If that info is presented up front it can often lead to a quicker fix.
That's why I keep my sig updated with the bikes I own and the mods I've done....Not bragging that I own a certain bike with certain mods, just making it easy for folks to know what I'm dealing with.

I understand exactly where you're coming from, but in some instances the information simply isn't needed.
It's like asking where the throttle is located on a 1961 XLCH with progressive lowering kit on each end, S&S car, straight drags, Corbin solo saddle and Michelin tires.
The answer is the exact same as on a 2008 bone stock XL1200C, whatever OCC is putting on TV this week or any other bike released in the US in the last 50 years.
In this case, the problem is caused by the same issue no matter what vehicle it is.
