go ahead and save your self some trouble and get a sundowner seat,thats what i got on my nightster and my girls happy on long trips even,it doesnt look very pretty but its the most comfortable seat harley makes,its real easy to switch seats back and forth,i just got a different screw for it,one you can tighten by hand,i also did away with the rear screw on mine ,i put a little chrome peace in its place,harley sells them,i did have a side kick seat and it looked real hot on there but it would never stay on ,it kept poping out of place in the front while i was riding down the road,it also doesnt lock in place in the middle of the seat and it has this carpet on it thats glued down,my glue would never dry it was still tacky and it got all over my paint,the sidekick isnt made by harley someone else makes that for them,if your going to get a two up seat stick with a harley seat it fits and locks in to place like it should,if you want a seat with asleek look to it, stick with the bad lander seat its made by harley,but your girl probly will like the sundowner seat a whole lot better,i know my girl did ,she hated the side kick seat and its got twice as much padding as a bad lander,the badlander would be good for around town and bike rallys,short rides,any way good luck on getting the new bike,
