If it is a hydraulic brake there is no adjustment.
Check the bushing on the brake lever, if they are plastic they may be too tight. When the bushing gets hot it expands & can overcome the return springs force.The fix is to sand the bushing (increase the ID). If they manufacture the bushing too big the pedal will be slopy, can't sell a bike if the brake pedal wiggles.

Sounds like (keep in mind it's almost impossible to diagnose a problem when you can't see the vehicle, so this is only a suggestion) the rear caliper may be sticking or freezing up. You may be able to rebuild the caliper, or just replace it. Also the rotor may have been damaged from the heat. It would be a good time (since it's all apart)to replace the pads and rotor as well.
