Default My wife's first longer ride on Sporty

My wife took her first longer ride (150 mile round trip) on her new sporty last weekend. Absolutely loved it. I had put the windscreen on the bike for her birthday and she couldn't be happier. Only complaint was the stock seat but I gave her the info for Mean City Cycles. Want to keep the solo seat and there are limited options.

I don't understand the stock seat problem. Does no one give it more than a couple hundred miles to break in or what. Maybe I am just not picky enough....

My wife and I took our 96 Sporty 463 Miles to Nashville then turned around and did the same thing 2 days later. Needless to say by the time we got home we decided it was time to get a new bike. Next time we take a ride like that we will be taking our new street glide.

Agree with ya on this one man. THe ol'lady and I took just a 270 mile 2-up day trip on my '96 and it just about killed us. Needless to say that was all the convincing she needed for the "we need a second bike arguement"
Now as soon as her car is paid off, we are going bagger shopping. Nothing like having the best of both worlds to choose from.

Edit: Imust add that for solo riding the stock seat on my'96 1200Cis just fine for all day riding.

It seems the newer crowd wants instant gratification and doesn't want to bother with having to invest time breaking in a new saddle. Whatever lights their fire!!!

Seems like even with the thread going to a seat one, you have gotten a new riding partner. Hope you both have many miles together. Riding with the significant other seems the best thing there is, and seems like an awesome bond. Be cool
