RE: Cable Lengths
Well, I can tell you almost for certain that even if your bars are just a little bit too far out of reach for the factory placement, you'll probably need a +4 over standard...I have 12" apes and still use factory length cables, but I didn't really care about where they were routed as long as they worked...
Also, a good source for the info might just be looking for cables on J&P...they may have the length listed. Or you take the +4 overall length that's usually listedand subtract 4"...that's how I figured out my factory clutch cable length.
Just a thought.

RE: Cable Lengths
Well, if you'd tried J&P, you'd have found that they're 35" long already.
OEM for everything from 86 on is 32" according to Barnett with the exception of late model C and S which are 35" and 33.5" respectively (due to higher risers), and older Ironhead models which are 32",33" or 33.5" depending on year. What you'll need to pay attention to is the angle of the cases (ends) to ensure no major kinks and nice flow off the controlls.
So your answer is 35" being that you have an 883C. That measures the length of the sleeve not including the cases. They have 4" of travel. That's for ordering purposes...OVERALL length would be 39" total, but that's really not important. If you had to have them re-routed , and only need a slight extension, go with a +4 or +6 length and you should be fine.

RE: Cable Lengths
We need Capttawes in here,I think I'm going with his set up on my Custom,Mini apes with 3" risers,so I want to find out what lines I need and more about his speedo relocation. So if you see this Capttawes fill us in on your length on lines and relocation info please [8D]Well I'm just pm'ing him anyway,he already gave the bar and riser info & I think I'm ready to do it for Spring riding I personally think his bike looks hot with that set up on it.
Capttawes : Khrome Werks Mini-ape handlebars for FXDWG 93-Up,(drilled for int. wiring). Orderd from Disc. Cycle Parts via Custom Chrome Catalog Heres the link with part# http://www.discountcycleparts.com/xcart/customer/search.php?in_category=360&part_number=31017 cost $38.22 plus s/h.
I had 2" straigth risers and switched to 3" striaght round top risers from JP cycles: http://www.jpcycles.com/productdetai...20top%20risers
The bars specs are:
They offer good hgt., not too high and maintain great handling when cornering while providing an upright riding position.
I ran wires internal and relocate the speedo using the older XL/Dyna mount and mounted it on the front of the triple trees.
