If you're working with 8" of rise and 40" end to end (I'm assuming these are drag-style...as anything else would look really silly on 8" risers), use a +4" set of cablesto be able to route it with the OEM guides and maintain a snug fit. You have to remember, with 12" mini apes on 4" Custom risers, that's a total of 16" of rise...you're only working with 8" if you're saying 4" over factory Custom risers. That more than compensates for the 40" end to end length.

You should have no problems at all with a +4 if you're looking to use your original path for running them. +6 may give you a bit too much slack.

Brake line has been straightened and 1 clamp removed so it has no tension on it.
Throttle rerouted outside forks.
Clutch a tad tight and pulled against engine case

Yeah, I'd be lookin to get a new set to run em back inside the forks...it's not as clean as-is.

If you order +4" over standard with 90* and 130* ends you'll be fine. Specially after seeing that pic. They should line up just right and you'll be able to route them neatly inside the forks again.

I think I will get +6" to be safe and then I can use some billet clamps to neaten up the slack if need be.
It is a long way to Aus for shipping of cables to be just that bit tight.

So I reckon throttle +6 - Brake +6 and clutch well not to sure on that one and not sure if it runs inside the forks either as I looked at a mates low this arvo and his is outside standard.

Be careful on the Idle cable...if it's too long it won't seat right and it'll pop out on you while you're riding...but other than that it sounds like you've got it figured out.

6o66er can you assit me a tad further please.

Ok I am still a bit confused about these cables so excuse my dumbness.
I want 6" over stock cables so I am assuming the bottom part number 0650-0609 is what I need for throttle/idle
First Image

For clutch I need part number 0652-0303 (close enough)
Second Image

BUt the brake has me stuffed.

They say the standard lenght is 42" (as below) is that correct as you said Barnetts reference was 35" ???
Third Image

Just need to get the brake sorted I think then I am all go.

cheers
Steve

Now you have me more confused.
What is the standard size 42" or 46" ???
I roughly measured mine and it appears to be 38"

Ok so if you had my scooter with the bars I have what would I buy ???

Standard is 42"...so for the oversize, you'll want the 46. but if you're roughly measuring a 38", does that include the hard lines or no? You want to measure the actual brake line overall, not just the distance, as the cable will move so you'll want some slack in it.
