I've said it before and I'll say it again...I don't think there is a scalethat compares bikes from the lightest and cheapest to the heaviest and most expensive that would fit everyones tastes. It's all relative. Some like the sporster because it just fits their taste and needs relative to their body structure, personal preference and pocket book. Some like the Ultra Classic for the same reasons.

This constant reference to the Sporster as an entry level bike and ONLY an entry level bike, just somehow demeans just how great of a bike it really is.

Entry level.

That must be why Evil Knievel used one.

If you cranked back the throttle on my Sportster you wouldn't be thinking entry level for long.

First thing.......I love my Sporster....BUT
Lets face it. It is an entry level bike.If not a Sporster and you had to name a model than which one? Its the lightest, cheapest, smallest, and handles with ease. I bet most new riding first Harley owners buy Sporsters. Hence the entry level tag? This does not mean you can't ride them fast or agressively and blow by larger bikes. I originally bought my Sporster for my wife which was her first bike. She gets mad at me all the time because I am always taking her bike out. Bottom line its a damn fast, nimble, fun riding bike.

LOL!

First:I own and ride a Sportster - not a Sporster. I wouldn't even know where to go to look at a "Sporster".

Second: I can easily afford a pimped out Harley ANYTHING and have been riding 45 years.

Third:Ask any woman, they'll start off on a Softail any day (Deuce was a favorite). The Sportster is too tall and the COG is too high for them. Many have told me just that.

Fourth: Stop posting nonsense and bringing your boredom over here.

Just answer this simple question. What is the entry level Harley if not a Sportser? I am not putting down the bike for gods sake….I own one and love it. Jeez…talk about sensitive, don’t get your pinkys in an uproar Thumper.
