What is the best way to get the left grip off without cutting it?

I just left the bars sitting in the living room and eventually my room mate got so pissed off he ripped that baby right off of there and threw it at me.

Warm it with a hair dryer or heat gun and if you can slide a nice thin screwdriver in enough to squirt some Simple green in, then twist that sucker off.

I just did two of them recently.Just like "carpet dude" said try and pry it up a little.I stuck a long skinny screwdriver in as far as I could and stuck the red straw of a WD40 can in as far as I could, gave it a couple of shots and it cameright off.
...........carb cleaner probably works even better

If you don't care about saving it, I have heard others recommend the cut and peel method.

I pried the lip up witha plastic knife and shot WD40 in and slowly worked it loose. Someone in a previous post recommended usinghair sprayto glue grips on. Hair spray? Being a newby I assumed that they knew more than I did so I gave it a try. Damned if it didn't work! Took a couple of days to completely set but it is tight and hasn't come loose.
