Default 06 v 07 slip-on question...

Was there any major changes to the muffler brackets/mounts on 2007 Sportsters versus 2006? I have a friend who wants the Cycle shack slip-ons I had installed on my 2006 Custom. She wants to install them on a 2007. I'm 95% sure there aren't any problems but want to check the peanut gallery just in case.

Comments appreciated.

I put Cycle Shack slipons on my 2007 883L. It was easy, and the fit was perfect. No problem and I love the result.

Which part no were they? Specifically I'm trying to ensure MXL-130's will fit on an 07.

I know they work on 06's. Not 100% certain that nothing changed in muffler mount design on the bikes between 06 and 07.

Anyone else? Even if someone has installed a set of mufflers that said they fit 04+, 04-07, 04-08, etc would help.

Should be a direct bolt on situation. 99% sure there was no change in slip on mounting between 04-08 models.

I have a set of Screamin' Eagle SP pipes that according to Harley, were "specifically" designed for 07 and later Sporty's.

I have them on my 06 with no problems. There were no changes from 06 to 07 (or 04-08 for that matter) from a fitment standpoint.

The main reason for some people's hesitation on exhaust for the 07 bikes has to the with the changeover to fuel injection. It's no longer a simple job to adjust the air/fuel mixture for different pipes.

So physically they will fit. How an 07 bike will run with the earlier pipes is the $64,000 question.
