I have it on mine and I guess it depends on where you park, the pager is great if its within your range of operation,I heard that its range is short, I installed the siren on mine, I ride to work and park where I can hear the siren if it goes off.

The FOB is a pain in the *** if you don't have it on you, and want to start the bike it won't start, or if you need to just move it the siren goes off.

I'de never park where I can't keep an eye on the bike so I guess if I were to do it again I would not get the alarm, but my first Harley and was concerned about theft, if they want it they will get it.
I have it on my 04 Sportster, but my RK doesn't have it and I wish it did. I've shopped around to find an aftermarket system for it but haven't found anything quite as good as the one used by HD. It's nice that you don't have to have the FOB to engage or disengage it using the turn signal buttons,as isit's independent power. The remote receiver accessory is really nice.

You dont want the siren it came standard on my V-rod and it's annoying the purpose of the alarm is to disable the starter so it cant be rode off... not make noise if someone bumps it I have the alarm no sirens on my Heritage and Sportster and like it better that way

You can't beat thefact that the HD system is plug and play. I hate slicing into the wiring harness...it causes too many problems down the road.
