Meh... I like the color-matched (and I don't like the chrome ones). The black on blue just looks unfinished to start with. I would have matched them, maybe with a *subtle* bit of striping or something if I had to change them.

I wanted to do something different with my sidecovers, everyone has chrome, colour matched or airbrushed so I wanted to be a bit different.
Here are the pics of the covers, one without using the flash on the camera the other with the flash, but will get the same effect when light hits the sidecovers, also if you walk from the fron to the rear of the bike as the light changes so does the image.

Awright! I’m gonna vent! What’s with this Skulls Fad? Is it trying to tell the world that the owner of this vehicle is some kind of bad a$$? Or that he’s a wannabe pirate? Or that he rides this motorcycle because he has a death wish? Or that he’s a member of the Waffen Schutzstaffel (SS).
Or is it that Willie G recognized that there is a segment of the HD owners that want to look like BA’s and figured he could generate a market putting skulls on every accessory they make? And if the HD icon Willie G says it looks cool, it must be cool, so let’s put his name on it? And since all this hang-on bling is selling so well, they gotta bring out a BA model and call it Cross Bones? Oooo! How cool is that?
