HI
I am buying bike for the first time in United States i owned a bike backhome before this and i love to ride bikes i am 28 yrs and 5' 10 ' in height i am looking to buy a sportster not for long cruises but for street riding and to enjoy the ride ... unable to decide between the nightster which i really love or 1200 Custom which looks good and has lot of chrome and bit easy to ride because of the shape of the handle bar .. i do not want to strech my backk while driving .... can anyone suggest me which one to go for ....

It sounds like the 1200c is for you with it's factory forward controls and pull back handlebar set-up. It also sit's a bit taller than the Nightster which will beneift you for your height as well.
The nightster can be made to be comfortable as well for a cost.
My best advice is for you to go and sit on both of them and take each one for a test ride (if possible) tosee which one fits you best.

Odd how two people can read the same thing yet interpret it differently! I'd say the Nightster is right up your alley for someone who is looking to turn the key, start her up, and cruise around. I agree you should sit on both and try to ride both if you can (good luck!).

The Nightster is more of a "U.S. Cafe Racer" and is a get down and dirty riding machine. It is great for riding around town or out in the country where one wants to be nimble through the "twisties". Of course, with its solo seat, two-up riding would have to come as an added cost for a two-up seat.

The "C" is for Custom and if you like spending your time polishing its chrome, then maybe that is the better choice for you. They are both good rides, but you just have to spend a little more time making one of them "look good" in addition to your riding.

My vote is for the 1200C, mine is the first bike I ever rode with forward controls, I had to get used to them but now I love them.

I find that statement hilarious! It takes less than 20 mins to clean my bike SPOTLESS . I spray it down then spray simple green on it and hose it off. It takes longer to dry the bike and treat the leather than anything else and it never takes over 30 mins for the works...
And as far as chrome? You would be hard pressed to find another decent spot to putmore on my bike...

Back to the original poster, I would sit on the bikes, test ride the bikes, decide if you want forward controls or solo seats or whatever it is you want more of, more. Remember, theres nothing on a bike that cant be changed to your whims. That being said, I would pick the bike with my heart, thats what I did.

But look thro the forums here and decide what mods you like the best and choose the bike that is closest to the end product you want.
I wanted a custom for multiple reasons. I looked for over a year till I found a bike that was exactly what I wanted.
Then I proceeded to change 50% of it
But Im still having a ball, remeber you wont go wrong whatever you choose because they are all great rides.
