I prefer the Custom too, but there is no denying the Nightster looks badass and unique. I'm sure you'd be comfortable on either.

Do you want a pretty, shiny bike or do you want a badass looking machine?

 

I'm 5'10" & 180ish lbs and find the Custom a nice fit,I don't find mid controls comfortable at all. The Nightster is a bad *** scoot but I almost bought the first 1 rolled on the floor while I was buying mine and it didn't fit me like the Custom.

 

Polishing chrome takes away from riding time

 

Guess you know where I stand on this one... Although.... I do like chrome.... I am actually going for a mixture of black and chrome on mine

 

From your description I thought the Nightster was a better fit as well. I'm 5'10" as well and have made custom forward controls that moved the pedals forward 5" more than the stock forward controls. I loved the stock forwards but the extra 5" makes a world of difference...

Like HDK said, there's nothing wrong with adding chrome to a Nightster

tx, yours has to be on the top of my list for nightsters, makes me want a second bike!!

 

Jackofhearts, seeing that pic of your sporty just about made my jaw drop to the floor... That is one fine lookin' custom!

 

I personally prefer a balance. But, I am leaning more towards blacked out or raw metal.

 

Hi First of all thanks for all the input..

my heart was always tilted towards the badass nightster , because i am slim looking 5' 10' and after looking at tx pics of nightster the angle of that tilt has incresed a bit , i think i will look forward to buy nightster and then modify it according to my needs like two up riding and a easy handle bar (really those are the only two things which i really need )....... but i havn't finalized yet.......... this weekend i am going to the trenton harley davidson in NJ to have a look at the bikes ... will deside after that
can anyone suggest me the best color or color combination for a nightster ....

 

I like the Nightster in vivid black.

Once you sit on or ride both bikes, you will know which one you like. They feel very different.
