I found xlforum before this one. The technical info is better organized and all sportster specific. The squabbles seem to exist on both. I just ignore them. I did feel like the only adult on the forum sometimes though, so I prefer the HDF.

I've checked it out also, didn't care for it much. I think a lot of you guy's do have not cabin fever but bike fever. It must suck not to be able to ride for months, I feel for you in that respect.

Ditto what's been said above. There are some serious sporty-guru's there who can help you out. But, this place is where I spend most of my bike forum time.

check them all, quadcambastards is another good one with plenty of fab and ideas. I think this forum and all the other suck *** for 1 major reason....if someone wants help on an idea very few people actually offer a helpful idea but everyone has an opinion on why the idea is bad/good/etc. If you cant help why do so many people have to talk if they are worthless. If you sift through the BS most boards are the same.

I was going to both, and like this forum better. Lots of good information at both places, but I find HD to be better organized, and easier to navigate.

I'm a member of both, and am on XLF more than here. As stated for the great technical info. When i started modding my bike a bit last year and had some questions, my questions would get answered faster and more in-depth over on XLF. I feel over here it's more of a mixed crowd...doing most all of the work on the bike myself, it seems that there is more gearhead info over there.

I loooooove the showdown forum over here though :-)
